Early on in our projects, we take the time to understand the basics: the budget, the program, the necessary permits and approvals, how to minimize energy usage and maximize design impact. We address broad issues of what a given site allows and what regional design themes encourage.

Our methods range from the traditional—such as preliminary sketches that build early consensus—to the innovative—such as 3D-computer imaging that improves and speeds the design process and communication.
