The PlaceMaking group’s landscape architecture focus
is on sensitively integrating large infrastructure projects
into the built environment. Beginning in the planning and
design phases of the project, we consider how the hardscape
and softscape elements relate to each other, the entire neighborhood
and the larger community.
For infrastructure and transportation facilities, park plans, master plans and transit-oriented development, we practice good stewardship and design places to be sustainable. Our national expertise enables us to apply both “tried-and-true” and cutting-edge ideas as we plan and design public outdoor spaces. We provide functional spaces to meet the public’s needs, enabling people to relate to their environment.
The expertise of our landscape architects includes site restoration, planning and design; tree surveys and tree protection plans; site detailing; historic preservation; park planning and design; context-sensitive design/solutions; and construction-related services.
